Dies gilt für alle Bereiche des Lebens, aber ganz besonders für das Wohnen. In den letzten Jahren hat sich insbesondere dank dem Minergie -Standard der Energieeffizienz von Neubauten rasant verbessert. Dies gilt aber vor allem für Energieverbrauch während dem Betrieb und genau deswegen stösst der Minergie-Standard an seine Grenzen. Wenn immer mehr graue Energie in immer bessere Dämmung gesteckt wird, erreichen wir den Punkt, wo die Energie nicht mehr effizient genutzt wird. Die gesparte Energie ist kleiner als die Energie, die zusätzlich in die Dämmung gesteckt wird. Um besser, also ressourceneffizienter zu bauen müssen wir unseren Blick vom Energieverbrauch während dem Betrieb lösen und das ganze System Bauen und Wohnen betrachten.
